My VM occupy after start to 1.08 TB however main .vmdk file is 500 GB I tried to clone it and it showed the error "An error occurred while quiescing the virtual machine. See the virtual machine's event log for details. An error occurred while taking a snapshot: Failed to quiesce the virtual machine. An error occurred while saving the snapshot: Failed to quiesce the virtual machine." I follow this link "communities.vmware.com/thread/588555" but it did not work Kindly help me out.

So only 2 ports from ASMEDIAROOT_Hub (HCD8) work as USB-Passthrough feature.
Ryzen 3 on Win7 x64, no official drivers as you know. Owners have to use modded drivers.

I've had this issue for about two years and I've been working around it as you suggested. I can't believe that this issue is still around, how is it possible there is no bug report or update to fix this issue? I just patched vcenter to the latest version thinking surely it was included in the April updates to no avail. Incredibly disappointing.

I'm having issues opening a vm in my vmware workstation. When try to open a virtual machine it shows the error message--the system cannot find the file specified.

I deleted some snapshot as i have low space in drive c and then when i try to open vm it shows this message.

If this has occurred more than once, it would help if you set the Gather Debugging Information option to Full and see if the problem occurs again. This will gather much more information in the vmware.log file next time the guest OS fails, and that information might give us a clue about what happened.

Anyone else have issues with Catalina 10.15.4 ?
I have Fusion 11.53
After the last Catalina update it no longer wants to share the clipboard, and I am looking in share folders with a lot of things in them, except the folder of files I just moved in there.
I've restarted, shut down and restarted, restarted the Mac, reinstalled VMware tools, and so on.
Any ideas? TIA

I was able to get my 7.0 license key. But when I get to the big blue "manually download" button, it won't do anything.
I've tried on all browsers on my mac. Safari, FF, Chrome.
And on windows, IE, Chrome, FF.
No download will start. I've also disabled all extensions but I only run 2.
A bit stumped as to why it won't start a download. Guessing things are just busy with the shiny new version. But was hoping someone could confirm that.

We have a multiple clusters in our vCenter and we have same configurations at our DR site. Since we have configured SRM on both sides what is the best practice of creating placeholder Data-stores. It should be one per cluster or shared across all the clusters?

There are lots of function that are not really reliable / trustworthy via the webinterface.
If you value your mental health I recommend to get used to:
1. doing all your VM edits that are potentially dangerous or destructive via edit of vmx-files or commandline
2. assume that flaws in the webinterface will be fixed before you get married
Thats what I do - it definetely safes time often.

VMFS and VMFSL in ESXi 7 - what is the difference ?
The new VMFSL filesystem inroduced with ESXi 7 identifies itself with the
GUID 4EB2EA3978554790A79EFAE495E21F8D while regular VMFS identifies as vmkfstools -P makes no difference between them: both are VMFS 6.82
GUID AA31E02A400F11DB9590000C2911D1B8.
Resourcefiles and magic values also seem to be the same.
So why the new label ?
Where can we look up the specs of both filesystem like : allowed filesize, allowed filenumber ....
