Hi,
Looking for help for a problem of my own VDP, I found your question. I know I'm a little late but, did you try looking in
/usr/local/avamarclient/var-proxy-x/x.log
Also, you could try to connect to
https://name_or_ip_address_of_your_vdp:8543/vdp-configure/
And from there, download the logs (all of them...quite a lot) to your client device.
