How to P2V Microsoft ISA 2006

Hi,

I'm trying to P2V a Microsoft ISA 2006 Enterprise Server that is part of an ISA Array. The server is only being used as a proxy server and has an internal and heartbeat network card.

I can connect to the server and start the conversion process, but the process fails after only 1%. I get an unknown exception error.

Would anyone know the correct procedure to successfully carryout this process?

Thanks

Robbie

UPDATE Long over due.

Sorry for the delay in updating this request.

As we were going to decommission the physical 2006 ISA server we decided to build a new ISA 2006 virtual server and join it to the ISA array.

After this server was joined to the array we decommissioned the physical server once the physical server was removed from the ISA array.

A point of note when building any virtual server that is going to be part of a Microsoft cluster or array.  This server will hide behind a virtual IP Address, using Microsoft NLB or clustering.  You will need to create a port group and set the appropriate allow security permissions on this port group to allow forged transmits, and Mac address changes.

Robbie
