Connection Anomaly

I'm running a VM of Windows 7 on my Windows 8 computer as a server for an online video game. Normally without a VM, to host the game, you simply install SQL Server 2008, make the proper SQL tweeks, port forward 30001 (for people to connect), and you're complete.

Well there seems to be an issue connecting to the game now. I bridged the connection because I don't know how to port forward a VM via NAT. What is weird is - I am only allowed to connect to the server one time, and when I log off the game and log back on it, I get "unable to connect" from the game's window. I check the game's server program and it shows no inbound traffic/no attempts for any log-ins. It will let me log in with a 10% chance if I repeatedly attempt, other than that, it seems that the VM is blocking my connection attempts.

---All firewalls are off.

---Ports are forwarded in the router.

---Disabled antivirus.

Ideas?
